CREW MEMBERS
Irma Micaela Gilboe
Micaela was born June 30th 1996 in Vallentuna, but moved with her parents and older sister (Manuela) to Norway just 8 months later. When she turned 4 years old she started ballet in Drøbak (which is the city she also lives in now). She did ballet for several years, but when she moved to Italy at the age of 6 she started to try out different styles such as jazz and contemporary.
After three years in Italy Micaela and her family moved back to Norway and that is when she decided to start dancing hip hop. Her sister brought her to Oslo where she tried out several classes, also with professional choreographers. After the first day she already knew that she wanted to continue with hip hop. She attended dance classes at “The Vibe” and “Quickstyle studio” for several years and for a long period she also did discodance, but hiphop was her thing. So she quitted discodance and decided to follow her passion, hip hop.
From the age of 10 and until the age of 15 she competed in national and international IDO-competition in hiphop, but quitted this because she wanted to focus on stageperformances. Especially after joining ACES crew.
When she was 15 she started teaching hip hop to kids at Drøbak Danseklubb. In 2013 her sister started her own dancestudio at Drøbak called Creative and employed Micaela where she is still teaching now for different ages.
Today Micaela is on her last year at high school and when finishing, she wants to focus on dancing and maybe even study dance. For now she is developing as a professional dancer with ACES crew with the focus on mixing hiphop with other styles. Micaela is also in a group called "Team Quickstyle". After all these years dancing she feels more than ready to take on every chance and oppurtunity given to her and to grow more each day.
